Three Initial Ideas and Audience Feedback

The four of us worked together and came up with three ideas!

Idea 1 The Observer is about one person waiting in a cafe with hidden documents in a newspaper on a table, another man enters the cafe in the next part of the scene telling us that they are about to meet with each other. The man who enters sits down on the same table as the man waiting. Few seconds later there is a close up of the exchange between the hidden documents from one man to another, immediately after the camera switches to the person in the corner of the cafe he than says through his technological earpiece " Their on to YOU!" however the camera switches once and the murderer on the other side of the earpiece says "It's too late..." In the end the scene reveals a crane shot of the murderer drenched in the blood of his victims and then the camera fades into darkness.

Feedback: After the creation of one of our ideas we were able to conduct research and investigation on the opinions of the audience based upon The Observer. We used a survey to conduct our research  some pictures of it are below. This idea was possible to be the one we picked as the responses from our 8 participants were positive however  the problem which we were concerned about was to find a cafe that would allow us to record our footage, as a result we decided in conclusion not to go with it as it would caused a lot of time waste and problems

Idea 2 The Stalker is about a women who suspects that her boyfriend is cheating on her, she is over obsessed and doesn't have any trust for her boyfriend. One day she decides to go on a social website and check out who her boyfriend is hanging out with and decides... she's had enough! She kidnaps the girl she suspects which happens to be her best friend with the help of to men that she hired. She plans to torture her but ends up killing her and although she didn't expect to do it, she found that she enjoyed it and so desired to do it more!

Feedback: The feedback that was acquired from our stalker idea was positive it showed the main elements we wanted the audience to feel as they read the opening of our thriller film. They said key words like tension, mysterious, intriguing, danger, constant fear and puzzle from this we were able to understand that our idea for stalker was potential in being the idea we wanted to pull off. From the feed back that we received  we found out that all 8 of the participants in the survey wanted to watch the rest of the film, which gave us confidence in wanting to record the opening of this film. However do to the complexity of how much we have to do in terms of locations and props we decided not to do it.

Idea 3 Death Period is about a young teenage boy who is trying to catch up on late work. He decides to complete his work at his school late at night however he has no clue what awaits him. Just before he enters his school the wise old janitor warns him and says in a creepy old voice "you shouldn't be here late at night" but the young teenager ignores him. The ignorant teenager then enters the school and walks down the corridor whilst being unaware that he was being watched. The mysterious figure that watched him looked at the young boy with delight, as the boy walked down the class room that would lead to his own grave. The boy suddenly sensed a eerie aura and so immediately looked behind him but he saw nothing, he looked back in front but also witnessed nothing. As the unknowing teenager he was, he decided to walk into the computer room. The camera then fades behind the computer room door where the mysterious figure watches and then enters. As the he enters, the camera fades into blackness and in the background we hear the screaming of the young ignorant boy.

Feedback: The feedback we received from our survey for Death Period was great, it conveyed how the audience's emotions were manipulated by the story's structure. This was evident in the words they used to describe the opening of the film like  Paranormal, Eerie, Innocence, thrilling, mysterious, horror and danger. This was the original aim of how we expected our idea to effect the audience and compel the audience to watch more. In the in we decided to go with Death Period as it was the most possible
and was the easiest to film and plot out.
